In a previous blog we introduced our new Extreme Halloween stock prints and showed you how to customize with name drops. There were five different design choices, all in full color, but sometimes your customer wants something that is all their own, and Easy View™ can help you create a print to meet their needs.
By using the Halloween clip art and your own text, you can customize any of the Easy Prints® layouts.
Don’t limit yourself to just the Holiday section-any of the thousands of professionally created layouts can be customized for Halloween with the use of clip art and your choice of text. In the examples, we used layouts from the Alternative Fashion, Anywear, Basketball and Holiday sections, just using holiday clip art and text to fit the event. Be creative with your text using fun phrases your customer might like.
Is your customer looking for a print for a children’s Halloween party? Order a one color print, press on a white shirt and provide fabric markers to use as the party craft. One customer told me they just provided washable markers and the kids were thrilled that when washed the coloring was removed and they could start all over again!

Creating Name Event Shirts Can Be Big Money Maker

If you are doing any type of event such a sports tournament, gymnastics or track meet, or dancing, skating, or baton twirling competition, you may be leaving money on the table if you are not offering a shirt with all the participant’s names on it.
For Philip Daly, Proprintwear (https://proprintwear.com/), East Setauket, N.Y., this type of shirt is always a best seller. Proprintwear travels the country setting up at national and regional fencing tournaments, where he is often the official supplier.
Prior to the event, organizers send Proprintwear the list of entrants, which he then inputs into a document. He has learned that he can get 1,500 names onto an 11- by 14-inch transfer. If the event has more than 1,500 names, he will either split the list into two parts or sometimes even three. In all situations, any entrant can buy an event T-shirt with his or her name on the back.
This 11-by-14-inch transfer will fit on a shirt on any size from youth small and up. He credits his ability to do this highly detailed type of design on the continually improving quality of Transfer Express transfers. “The ability to put name transfers on shirts has improved by 300%,” he says.
As an add-on sale, Proprintwear plans on offering customers the opportunity to have a gold star added to their name so it stands out on the list by stocking the stars made out of precut heat press transfer films.
Customers can choose from more than 250 stocked designs of various sizes, and the process starts with one design, but it does not end there. Customers may add as many additional designs as space allows thus creating a one-of-a-kind garment of their liking.
Proprintwear has labeled this market technique as Add-A-Print. The basic shirt retails for $19.95 while charging an additional $10 for each Add-A-Print. Furthering customer satisfaction, Proprintwear imprints these designs wherever the customer desires.
Often he’ll have these shirts on display not only in his booth, but also at registration and where participants check their equipment so they get maximum exposure.

It’s Festival Time-A Great Opportunity for Shirt Sales

The weather is finally warm and the festivals have started. Maybe it is because we were stuck inside all winter, but these seem especially popular in the Midwest. Every weekend you can find a church festival locally as well as larger ones in the major cities. I love the food you find at these festivals, while others like to try their luck at the Monte Carlo events. But every festival needs shirts for those working the festival, or as many to sell as well. Just search festivals in your area online to find a listing of area festivals (and possible customer list) Our Easy Prints® can help you and you don’t even need to be an artist—just creative. Use any section and add clip art and text to fit your needs. Here locally this weekend we have common festivals like a Strawberry Festival and Brew Week Fest to the more unusual like the Duct Tape Festival (Miss America will even be there in an outfit she created with Duct tape!) Just to show you how creative you can be, I used layouts from the event, championship and fashion sections and tried my hand at customizing for each of these events! Ok – the Duct tape one was a challenge and I chose to use a duck, which is the mascot for the company headquarters of a duct tape company located in the festival’s location!

How to Use Easy View™ to Create Examples for Your Customers

Easy View™ is a great online design tool we created specifically for our dealers to create designs for tshirts and more. Using Easy View™, you can search through our thousands of layouts and you control the ink colors, text, fonts, and clipart for each and every layout you choose! Even better, you can save the customized layouts you create to your own computer. Print or e-mail these personalized layouts to show your customers to help close the sale. Having examples is always a great selling feature to help your customers visualize their designs rather than leaving it up to them to try to picture it in their minds. Not only does it help speed up the sales process with your customers, it is quick and easy to learn and use!
HOW TO DO IT:
For example, your customer, the city of Mentor, is having their annual Memorial Day Parade. Using Easy View™, we will show you how you can sell them the designs for t-shirts and more for the parade, doing it all online!
First, log into our web site using your Dealer ID and Password. After logging in, you have full access to Easy View™. By clicking on the “Idea Book Layouts” tab at the top, you can search our thousands of layouts.
At this point, you have chosen several layouts that fit the parade, and now you are ready to customize the layouts.
When we click on the thumbnail version of layout QHL-52, it automatically goes to Easy View™. We have determined that the layout is sufficient for our needs and are only going to change the Line 3 text from COMPTON to MENTOR. We are choosing to keep the same typestyle and clipart.
For our ink colors, we will show them a 2 color ink design using white as the primary ink color and royal as the secondary. These will be going on red shirts. Then, we simply click the Easy View button and our customized layout emerges in the preview window.

Now we will save this image so we can e-mail it to our customer. For PC users, we will right-click on our customized layout and select Save Picture As (MAC users will Control + click). Save the image with a name and location on your computer of your choice.

Next, open your e-mail and click to open a new message. You may type your message before or after you attach the design for the parade. When you are ready to attach, most e-mail applications show a paperclip icon for attaching documents while also displaying some sort of text title. When you have found the attachment button, click to bring up the attachment dialog box. Browse your files until you find the saved parade design image.

You may attach as many images to your message as your e-mail provider will allow space for, some more and some less.
Tip: To create records of what you sent to the customer, click the “Printable” page for each design and print a copy for your records. You can also add these designs to your cart and “Save for later” when your customer decides on the design they want for their tshirts or other apparel.
It is that easy! You are now ready to send preview images to your customers with customized designs for their needs and events! Happy Easy View™-ing!

Use Your Custom Clip Art in Easy View

Custom Clip Art is your art specifically created for your use in our Easy Prints® layouts is now available for use in your online design tool, Easy View™. This is great to have if your local school has an unusual mascot or its own specific logo. Or if you do business with a company that uses their logo for many different types of apparel – the company bowling team shirts, softball team or company picnic apparel, you can access the logo and use it in the Easy Prints® layouts. Generate more business by showing the Easy View™ proofs with their own logo as the clip art! Plus you can use Easy View™ to create proofs of stickers, banners and wall graphics!
To use your Custom Clip Art, just login at TransferExpress.com and click the new My Clip Art section under the My Account area in the left tool bar. You will see a visual of any custom clip art you archived for you as well as its assigned clip art number for your use. Use this number in place of the clip art shown in any Easy Prints® layout, and customize with your text and colors and click the “Easy View” button for an instant proof. Copy and paste to a flyer you make for the school or company or email a couple of ideas to the decision makers.
To have custom clip art created, just place an order using the logo in any design and pay a small fee to have us archive the logo for you. It is then available for your Easy View™ use!

Create Custom Transfers Using Easy View Tool

As a Transfer Express dealer you are given a free tool, known as Easy View™, to design and order your custom heat transfers. With Easy View, you don’t need to be an artist; anyone can use it since it is layout based. Using Easy View, you create the custom layout by changing the text, clip art and typestyles. That is all there is to being a designer using this simple tool. If you have not ordered from Transfer Express, it is simple to get started and gain access to this free tool—just place your first order by phone, fax or send your art online and access to Easy View will be set up for you.
To use Easy View™:
- Dealers – Login at www.TransferExpress.com
- Click the “Idea Book Layouts” tab at the top of the page
- Select a category for the style of layout you’d like or enter a specific layout number in the Search field
- Click the picture of the layout
- Enter your text lines and change the typestyles if desired
- Change clip art if needed using the browse and search buttons
- Choose “Single Color”or “Multi-color” by clicking the buttons just under the design box
- Choose Ink color(s) and Apparel Colors
- Click the Easy View button
- Right click on the customized design to save the image to your computer to e-mail or print out for your customer.
- Click printable page to print a copy for yourself or your customer
Note: If you want to save your design for ordering later, fill out the rest of infomation about the transfer order and add it to your cart (All this info can be altered again before you submit the order). This just puts the order in your cart you are not submitting the order yet. If you need to place other orders in the mean time, go to your cart and click the “Save for Later” link and it will move that order out of your live cart into a “Saved items for later” area. When are ready to place this order login and return to your cart and click “Move to cart” to put this order back in your live cart for submitting the order.
