Here are five more of the new Great Dane Design layouts available for your customer’s ordering. We now have revealed 10 of these trendy new designs. Voting begins January 18th for your favorite. Three voters will be chosen to win a $50 coupon for your own custom order!
This week we show you layouts from the swimming, wrestling, basketball, volleyball and cheerleading sections. All sections are customizable. By just changing the text and clip art the swimming layout is transformed to a race print, the wrestling transforms to a ballerina print, the basketball to a baseball print, the volleyball to a cheerleading and the cheerleading to a landscaping. Custom Screen Printed Transfers Proven Durable!

Our products have been tested for proven durability to meet your customer’s needs. All of our screen printed transfers recently went through a wash test by a testing lab.
The products were tested on 100% cotton, 50/50 Cotton/Polyester, 100% Polyester Steel mesh, 100% Polyester patterned Jacquard, 100% Polyester 70 Denier Tricot Mesh w/moisture wicking, anti-microbial agents and stain resistant coatings and 100% Polyester Dazzle.
The products tested were Goof Proof, Polytrans, Hot Split, Reflective, Glitter, Pearl, Puff and Elasti Prints. Each was applied to every fabric and then subjected to 50 wash/dry cycles.
Through all 50 wash/dry cycles, all of the products submitted held up through this vigorous testing. This is helpful to ensure your customers are receiving the highest quality graphics that will last them a long time.

The Ins and Outs of League Business

Yesterday with Doug Wilcoxson of Bomark, we hosted an all day seminar on the ins and outs of league business here at Transfer Express.
Ben Reutter and Chris Ulrich of Transfer Express hosted an all day seminar on league business.
Doug discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the league business. The advantages are a reputation in the community, many uniforms to decorate and the stability of the league business even during down times. The disadvantage is a lot of business all with the same delivery demands, add-ons, and low margins.
He reviewed ideas for overcoming these disadvantages such as getting them to buy an extra uniform right from the start, the use of transfers so that you do have the one extra to apply in seconds and using the delivery as an opportunity to advertise for more profitable business.
He also emphasized the importance of getting 50% down when ordered, and the rest on delivery because leagues have all of their money paid when sign up ends before the season starts, and as the season progresses payment for grass cutting, lights, umpires, etc may drain an ill planned budget.

Doug also brought samples of the uniforms distributing by Bomark. He will be presenting this same seminar at upcoming ISS shows, so if you are at a show it is a great investment of time in your business.
Choosing Your Custom Transfer Product-Your Apparel Will Make Your Choice

When choosing what custom transfer to use, one of the most important factors is what apparel type your customer is requesting. If your customer wants to order a nylon jacket, your product choice is limited to the only product that works on nylon—CAD-PRINTZ™ Opaque. If your customer wants a compression fit polyester material, your product choices are CAD-PRINTZ Opaque and Elasti Prints®.

If your customer wants a custom printed t-shirt, or anything cotton, polyester or cotton/poly blends your choices are unlimited. You will then need to consider if it is full color (digital product line) or spot color (screen printed transfer line). Another factor to consider is quantity. You can order as few as 1 of the digital transfers, but there is a 5 piece minimum when ordering the screen printed transfers using our layouts, or 10 if providing art.

Custom Transfer Cost Saving Tip – Using Gang Sheets

A customer recently emailed us wanting a quote for 3 different prints for baby onsies all using the same plastisol ink color. They needed 60 of each and wanted to know the best way to order. The answer – gang sheets!
It took a few emails back and forth for them to understand that even though they had 3 different designs, you save a ton of money by doing just one order with all three images on the same sheet.
The customer thought they could fit 6 on a sheet and was going to do 3 orders of 10 each. By doing this, it would have cost 10 x $5.09 = $50.90 x 3 = $152.70.
Instead, we suggested they put all three designs on one gang sheet (to create a gang sheet, all images must fit within an 11.25” x 14” area, and use the same ink color). We were actually able to fit 9 on a sheet, 3 of each design and by doing just one order of 20 sheets, they did get 60 of each image for $60.20 (20 sheets x $3.01/sheet)—a cost savings of $92.50. The 180 baby shirts were custom printed using screen printed transfers for just 33¢ each!

Creating Custom Halloween Transfers

In a previous blog we introduced our new Extreme Halloween stock prints and showed you how to customize with name drops. There were five different design choices, all in full color, but sometimes your customer wants something that is all their own, and Easy View™ can help you create a print to meet their needs.
By using the Halloween clip art and your own text, you can customize any of the Easy Prints® layouts.
Don’t limit yourself to just the Holiday section-any of the thousands of professionally created layouts can be customized for Halloween with the use of clip art and your choice of text. In the examples, we used layouts from the Alternative Fashion, Anywear, Basketball and Holiday sections, just using holiday clip art and text to fit the event. Be creative with your text using fun phrases your customer might like.
Is your customer looking for a print for a children’s Halloween party? Order a one color print, press on a white shirt and provide fabric markers to use as the party craft. One customer told me they just provided washable markers and the kids were thrilled that when washed the coloring was removed and they could start all over again!
