You can get extra back to school sales by offering mouse pads to your customers. Use your extra screen printed transfers and digital transfers to create a mouse pad to add to the sale or even to give as a thank you gift for the person picking up the order. Everyone is getting new school supplies for the start of the new year and will appreciate this useful ad specialty item.
Blank printable mouse pads are inexpensive (about $1.00 each) and can be purchased through a variety of online sources. Both screen printed and digital transfers can be applied to mousepads using the directions for the transfer supplied with the order. The mouse pads are coated with polyester allowing for easy application.

Place the mouse pad on your heat press platen, position your transfer and press.

April thru June is Prom season at practically every high school across the country. At the prom the total number of kids that attend can be in the hundreds. This is a great opportunity to increase production and gain profits. Most schools have a prom committee that meets about once a week to discuss detail of the prom from decorations to ticket sales to what DJ they will be hiring. This is a great place to start and show them the designs you can do and provide the committee with a quote. Some Proms also provide an After Prom at a specific location to keep the kids safe. The After Proms are usually themed such as Mardis Gras, Casino Night, and Tropical décor. So not only can you land a job for the actual Prom rececption and dance, but you can double your profits by offering shirts to the After Prom committee also!
The students want to remember their Prom night for years so a custom t shirt is a common party gift they can take home. The Idea Book™ is filled with design ideas for their t shirts. With the use of custom transfer gang sheets, add on sales can be very profitable and easy to do. Gang sheets are custom transfers printed with multiple art images on one sheet and then cut apart for use. This customer’s team ordered uniforms with an Easy Prints® script tail layout (QAL-42) on the front, a name and number on the back and the team mascot, a stallion (X2H-1) on the sleeve. They ordered a color change for printing on both their home and away uniforms. The customer then showed them a bat bag that could be ordered and offered to print it with the mascot and a number. They were able to use the same mascot transfer that had been used on the sleeve so this print cost them nothing. They then ordered 2” numbers using Express Names™ for just $3! The bag was purchased for $17 and printed with a logo and number for just $3. They sold the custom printed bags for $35 making an extra $15 on each team member!

Clip art for customizing Easy Prints® layout
Clip art is ready made art that can be used to create your custom transfers. At Transfer Express, we offer thousands of clip art to help create your custom print ready to apply to your apparel.
The clip art is categorized online and in the Idea Book™. We offer general shapes, mascots, animals, occupations, and sports to name a few of the categories. To find what you are looking for use our clip art search. To find the best results in our search, enter the simplest part of the description you would call the clip art you are looking for. Example: Search for “glasses” instead of sun “glasses” or “bee” instead of “bumble bee”.
Our clip art can be added to an Easy Prints® layout, with text or used alone. It can ordered in just one color or as many colors as you like. If using just one color, what you see in black will be the color you select. If you want to add colors, just let us know what colors are needed and where they should be placed. To order clip art alone – use the layout QAL-CLIP when ordering online.
With thousands of clip art choices, any layout can be made custom for your specific need. The choices are endless….

The popular “I (heart) ____” design is a well known symbol in American culture. Today a different variation is growing and becoming a much wanted tshirt among the younger audience. Seen in schools and organizations all over the country groups have replaced the (heart) with a symbol for their group such as a “baseball clip art” for the Boys Varsity Baseball team. See examples below. Even though you are replacing the (heart) with a clip art of your choice, the audience recognizes that design as the “I (heart) ____” design that is regaining popularity.
To have custom transfers created using this design idea, use Easy Prints® layout QAL-340 and customize the text and clip art for your customer’s needs. 2010 Idea Book Better than Ever!

Our 2010 Idea Book was just released and we’ve made some changes to help in yours and your customers’ selection of Easy Prints® layouts.
Last year’s Idea Book featured the descriptions of the different Type Formats text can be made into. On pages 5 and 6 of the 2010 catalog you will see these descriptions in bright pink in the color book and in the bottom right corner of the layout in the black & white book. Any of these formats can be used in the hundreds of layouts found in the rest of the book. Just let your representative know when placing the order which format the text should be in.
The 2010 personalized Idea Book™ features examples of color placements in a few layouts per page. We’ve given some of the layouts some color to give you an idea of different ways these layouts can be changed into awesome tshirt designs. Need them to be a one color when printed, it’s no problem.
Another useful feature of the 2010 Idea Book™ is the addition of the color notation below the photo on each layout page. We used the screen printed and digital transfers in each of the pictures and noted which colors were used in the print. This is a great way to get ideas of color combinations and also how the colors look on different color garments.
We have added 230 new template layouts to customize and 200 new clip art. These layouts include some new pattern designs like leopard and tiger stripes. Look for the “New for 2010” links in each section online. Check out page 13 in the printed book for the new Alternative layouts featuring more edgy, modern t-shirt designs.

Add Pattern Effects to Screen Printed Clip Art

Add pattern effects, such as paisley or zebra stripes, to more than just words! Our patterns are created to be inserted into bold text but can also be placed into many of the clip arts that we offer in our Easy Prints® Idea Book. For example, place a paisley pattern in a volleyball for the local girls’ volleyball team or the plaid pattern in a football for the local football moms. They will love it!
Patterns can be used as a 1 color print or a multi-color prints for a more colorful design. They can be used when creating designs for a custom screen printed transfer order as well as a digital transfer order using the Easy Prints® layouts.
Tip: Use clip art that has bold, open areas to apply the pattern fill to. If you are unsure, ask a Dealer Services Representative.

Tie Dye Shirts are Fun and Easy to Decorate!

Give your customer a new look combining tie dye shirts with screen printed plastisol transfers. Just follow the application instructions provided with your transfer order. The dyes are not affected by the heat press. Be creative and add a print to a tie die in the school or business colors or a black or white print to a multi-color tie die. Try positioning your prints on the side for a new look, too!
