Creating Name Event Shirts Can Be Big Money Maker

If you are doing any type of event such a sports tournament, gymnastics or track meet, or dancing, skating, or baton twirling competition, you may be leaving money on the table if you are not offering a shirt with all the participant’s names on it.
For Philip Daly, Proprintwear (https://proprintwear.com/), East Setauket, N.Y., this type of shirt is always a best seller. Proprintwear travels the country setting up at national and regional fencing tournaments, where he is often the official supplier.
Prior to the event, organizers send Proprintwear the list of entrants, which he then inputs into a document. He has learned that he can get 1,500 names onto an 11- by 14-inch transfer. If the event has more than 1,500 names, he will either split the list into two parts or sometimes even three. In all situations, any entrant can buy an event T-shirt with his or her name on the back.
This 11-by-14-inch transfer will fit on a shirt on any size from youth small and up. He credits his ability to do this highly detailed type of design on the continually improving quality of Transfer Express transfers. “The ability to put name transfers on shirts has improved by 300%,” he says.
As an add-on sale, Proprintwear plans on offering customers the opportunity to have a gold star added to their name so it stands out on the list by stocking the stars made out of precut heat press transfer films.
Customers can choose from more than 250 stocked designs of various sizes, and the process starts with one design, but it does not end there. Customers may add as many additional designs as space allows thus creating a one-of-a-kind garment of their liking.
Proprintwear has labeled this market technique as Add-A-Print. The basic shirt retails for $19.95 while charging an additional $10 for each Add-A-Print. Furthering customer satisfaction, Proprintwear imprints these designs wherever the customer desires.
Often he’ll have these shirts on display not only in his booth, but also at registration and where participants check their equipment so they get maximum exposure.

Print Low Cost Custom T-shirts by Adding Name drops to Patriotic Prints

The new stock patriotic screen printed designs, Transfer Extreme™, have a lot of color and are a great new look. Did you know you can order name drops to customize these stock designs at a minimum cost?
Here you see two examples of how you can combine a Transfer Extreme patriotic design with a name drop ordered on gang sheets.

1.) First choose a design from the Transfer Extreme collection.
2.) Decide what text you would like to add, the color and the typestyle (We have over 100 typestyles to choose from, and a distress effect can be added).
3.) Create a gang sheet and order the number of name drops (Sanford Family Reunion was 3.5” tall x 8.5” wide and we could fit 3 prints per sheet. Allegheny 4th of July Parade was 3.5” tall x 8” wide with 3 prints per sheet).
4.) Position both transfers on the page and apply with one application.
How To Outfit An All Star Uniform

Baseball All Star teams are forming and these teams will need uniforms. Start with the front of the uniform and dress them like pros! An entire layout category is dedicated to these players in our Easy Prints® collection. Many of these teams will want two or more colors on the print and our online design tool, Easy View™ can show your customers what the print will look like in two colors on their shirt. All Star teams frequently also add a number to the front of the uniform under the logo, especially script with tails layouts. If doing teen uniforms, our 4” numbers are perfect. For smaller youth, use 2.5” or 3” numbers ordered through our Express Names program. If using 2.5” numbers you can fit 10 digits in one strip, and for 3” numbers you can fit 8.
The All Stars will want to be recognized so be sure so to be sure to add an Express Name above the number on the back. The 2.5” size is best for teen uniforms and the 2” size is perfect for younger teams. The number under the name can be ordered in two colors to match the uniform front, and with Easy Prints® numbers it is one application in just 4 seconds. For teen uniforms, an 8” number can be used and for smaller sizes use a 6” number.
If your team has a sponsor this can be added to the sleeve. Add this as well as a cap size print for your team caps to the front logo and create a gang sheet – all three logos are printed on one sheet for a great cost savings.

We’re a patriotic bunch, here at STAHLS’ Transfer Express. Flags are waving, banners are soaring, and Lenny Schiavone just cooked a whole bunch of hot dogs for us to kick off the Memorial Day Weekend!

The image quality is comparable to direct screen-printing, digital printing, or litho. However, the finished product gives you a very soft hand (not plastic-y like those other guys), and it applies in only 4 seconds! Fashionable T-Shirt Printing with Foil

Now you can give your customers a hot new look, for just a little more per t shirt. Our new foil is great for your customers who want today’s fashion trends. It add color and shine to your apparel offerings. Foiling is a two step process; you apply the heat transfer with your heat press and then position the foil sheet over the printed transfer. Sold in 12″x200′ rolls, foil comes in a variety of colors including blue, copper, gold, green, pink, purple, red, silver and effects such as gold splatter, silver splatter, rainbow, silver oil spill and pink zebra.
- 1. Press the transfer according to provided instructions (Goof Proof, Polytrans, Pearl Prints, and Easy Prints Numbers can be used)
