With the use of custom transfer gang sheets, add on sales can be very profitable and easy to do. Gang sheets are custom transfers printed with multiple art images on one sheet and then cut apart for use. This customer’s team ordered uniforms with an Easy Prints® script tail layout (QAL-42) on the front, a name and number on the back and the team mascot, a stallion (X2H-1) on the sleeve. They ordered a color change for printing on both their home and away uniforms. The customer then showed them a bat bag that could be ordered and offered to print it with the mascot and a number. They were able to use the same mascot transfer that had been used on the sleeve so this print cost them nothing. They then ordered 2” numbers using Express Names™ for just $3! The bag was purchased for $17 and printed with a logo and number for just $3. They sold the custom printed bags for $35 making an extra $15 on each team member!

How to Order Small Screen Printed Transfer Numbers

Do you need a small number to place in a clip art such as a baseball, one to put on a sleeve or even to place on a cap? We have numbers available in sizes as small as 1”. To order, use Express Names™ and enter numerals instead of letters. Enter a row of digits or the specific digits you need. If ordering 1” numbers you can fit 8 in a row, at the 2” size you can fit 12 digits, at the 2.5” size you can fit 10 digits and at the 3” size you can fit 8 digits. These numbers are low cost, only $1.55/row and easy to apply with your heat press in just 4 seconds! 1. Most baseball leagues are run by volunteers who change year to year. Look in the newspaper for sign-up information to get the name of this year’s contact.

All Same Image Gang Sheet - Layout -QBU-44
A large number of screen printed transfer orders that come through Transfer Express® consist of 1 image on the sheet that is a standard size adult print (11” wide). At the sheet size of 11.25” x 14”, what happens to the other 4 inches? Well a majority of cases, this space goes to waste because the customer isn’t aware of the possibility to get the most for their money. Other times, this space goes to making the sheet a “gang sheet”. A gang sheet just means there are multiple images on 1 transfer sheet. This is the best way to use the sheet to its maximum potential.
We just recently had an order for a restaurant that needed 25 shirts with a standard size Easy Prints® design in 1 color. We gave the customer the option of maximizing their sheet by adding the logo in a smaller size. Their one concern was, “what is the cost difference?” Per sheet for a full size design the cost was $2.39 a piece. To add 2 smaller images to the sheet the cost is $ $2.60. For just .21 cents, the customer received 2 more images per sheet that can be added to just about anything including polo shirts for the managers, aprons, chef jackets, towels, etc. A great way to get add-on sales without high costs.
Many things can be done with the extra transfers for just cents. Just be creative and look for items that are cotton, polyester or blends of cotton/polyester to add your extra transfers to. You can also use them as samples to show your customers! If you know your customer isn’t going to use the smaller images, add your company logo or the logo of another customer onto the sheet. Otherwise, the extra inches are just paper to be thrown away when it could be money in your pocket.

We have a large selection of colors and styles in our screen printed Easy Prints® Numbers program, but if you don’t see the style or color you like we can do a custom number order for you. If you want a logo or pattern in the number, our custom number program is for you. Pricing for custom numbers is based on the size, number of colors and quantity needed. Although you can order a minimum of 5 of each digit, the pricing becomes economical for quantities of 25 or more of each digit. This is a great way to give an exclusive look for a league or to make uniform numbers from your store stand out in the crowd. If interested, just email us the color or style you need, the size and how many of each digit and we will email you a quote.

Transfer plus Number Personalization
Create an individualized shirt for your customer by adding their number inside of a clip art such as a football or soccer ball. It easy to do with custom transfers and transfer numbers. Order your full size print using Easy Prints® layouts with the artwork of your choice. Order the numbers using Express Names™ in 1″, 1.5″ 2″, 2.5″ or 3″ size, entering the individual numbers you need, or just order a set to have on hand. The Peel and Press letter/number packs can also be used.
Apply the full size print following the instructions provided. Peel the needed numbers off the release paper and position on the print where desired. Cover with a cover sheet and apply again for 365 for 4 seconds, or 340 for 10 seconds. Remove the cover sheet and your shirt is ready to sell. This extra step can really increase profits!
