Creating an In-Store Kiosk Using Easy View

Create your own custom in-store kiosk using the Easy View® designer.

Kiosk Options:

When creating your kiosk, you can order a custom kiosk, or you can simply use an old computer or laptop. When using a laptop or desktop computer, ensure that your security features and web browser are up to date. If you would prefer to purchase a custom kiosk, this would be the pricier option. You can find custom kiosk options by searching “custom kiosk” in your preferred search engine.

There are two ways that you can use the kiosk; verbal, where you’re side-by-side with your customers and they tell you what they would like the design to look like. Or hands on; where you give your customer full reign and they create their t-shirt design right there in the store, on your Easy View kiosk.

Customer Mode:

Use Easy View’s customer mode to remove the Transfer Express® information from the screen. This will allow your customer to create their own custom t-shirt design without seeing the Transfer Express logo or pricing information. All of the same features will work in customer mode. You can even add the order to your cart or save it to your favorites for easy future access. When you add your customer’s orders to your cart, you will be able place all of the transfer designs at the same time, after your customer has left the store. Your customers will not be able to see what is in the cart from customer mode.

Securing Computer:

To avoid your customer getting into personal information on your computer, we suggest setting up a separate user account on your computer for when you have it set up as an in-store kiosk. To set up a separate user account on your computer; go to the start menu at the bottom left-hand corner of your computer screen. From the start menu, choose the control panel. Once in the control panel, choose user accounts to set up a separate user account, the above video will show you how. The control panel may be in a different place on your computer; if you do a search for creating a user account for the type of computer that you have, it should show you how to do this on your specific type of computer.

Banners:

Don’t forget to promote your kiosk! Let customers know that they can create their own custom apparel by designing it at your kiosk. You can even hang a banner above the kiosk to encourage your customers to stop and create a t-shirt design.

Social Networking:

Use social media as a way to connect with your customers. Get your store involved in one or a few of the major social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. You can add a poster to your store that shows your customers all of the social networks that you are on with a link to each site or even a QR code that would send them to that social media site. If you search “QR code generator” in your preferred search engine, you should get a list of sites that you can use to create a QR code. Most of these sites are free to use.
