You frequently hear transfers called iron on transfers, but is that accurate?   Can an iron be used to apply custom transfers and transfer numbers?

Is your customer looking for a way to raise money for their favorite charity?  As a t shirt printing business, you can offer them an easy way to raise funds.    Have your customer select a design--the ribbon is popular or create a unique design for their event.  They can either get the shirts/printing or both donated and sell the shirts to those attending the events.  One of our customers ordered shirts for a breast cancer event.   She got someone to donate the printing, and she donated the shirts for the team to wear.  Extra sales were made to those attending the event--selling out all the shirts she made.   Using screen printed transfers you can print on demand at the event.  Add an in memory, or survivor line to the shirt and a person's name for add on sales.

Are you looking for screen printed transfers with increased visibility?  Then our silver reflective transfers are for you.   Reflective transfers reflect light when hit with a direct light source.  They are great for teams playing under the lights, joggers and police/fire workers.   During normal light the print is a metallic silver color, but with direct light it will appear a brilliant silver white.

1. Type the names in a word processing program in a single column in uppercase.
2. Save the list as a .txt file
3. Send the list electronically at our website, TransferExpress.com
4. Click on the "Send us your Artwork" tab.

There are times in your t shirt printing business when heat pressing transfers that the garment doesn't lay perfectly flat on the heat press such as a hoodie. Or you may come across that you need to apply a transfer on one side of the garment but there is a seam on the other side that is causing you not to have a flat surface such as a pocket t-shirt. There is a simple solution for this and it is called dressing or threading.

To dress or thread the garment means to put the bottom platen between the shirt or hooded sweatshirt so that just one layer of fabric is on the press instead of laying the garment down flat. This is just like putting a t-shirt on a mannequin only pretend the body is the bottom platen. Most likely the shirt will be on the heat press with the neck close to you.

The reason to slip the garment around the platen is to remove the interference of pockets, buttons, zippers, etc. Some common times to thread the garment is when heat printing screen printed transfers on the back of hoodies, polos, and pocket t-shirts.

One of our customers showed us a couple of heat print additions they have recently done for their local school.   The first were coasters they made as favors for a mom/son dance.  They ordered inexpensive coasters and used our digital Photo Prints to heat print.  The coasters were only .24/each and they were able to fit 20 prints on a Photo Print sheet keeping the cost of the print to under .25.   The dance was on a local cruise ship so they used our Easy Prints™ layout QRT-12 and their archived custom clip art.  This is a great idea for both prom and wedding favors.

The second idea used some leftover prints from their shirt order.   This time a screen printed transfer was applied to a mouse pad and given as gifts at a fund raiser.   The Easy Prints™ layout used was QBA-170 and again with their saved custom clip art.
