Baby Apparel Ideas with Custom Transfers

It’s a full blown year of babies here at Transfer Express! With a round grand total of 10 babies being born in 2014 to employees, including one of my own, we have had quite our share of baby showers and birth announcements this year. It’s only natural for us to share with you some ideas to pass along to your customers. Whether you print apparel for schools, businesses or everyday occasions, baby apparel is an area that shouldn’t be overlooked. Because each one of these avenues can add sales to your custom apparel business and they can all be applied using your heat press.

Let’s start with schools. Even though a good 5 years away from entering into Elementary school, those infants will soon be future students. We have future football players, future honor roll students and future Class of 2032’s in the making. So if you are creating spirit wear for the student and adult fans it’s easy to add apparel to cover the infants and toddlers as well. Apparel with school mascots and Class of’s also make great gifts for newborns and those celebrating their 1st birthdays.

Even if you’re not printing custom apparel for schools and a majority of your t-shirt sales comes from businesses, you can take advantage of printing on infant apparel too. We have future firemen and business women being born that look so cute dressing like their career driven parents. Here’s an example of a onesie featuring a Fire Department crest to match their parents uniform.Baby onesie with Fire Department Crest

Businesses also can take advantage of offering their employees “new arrival” gifts to welcome the birth of a new baby. We’ve been seeing a lot more baby gifts being given out by companies. For example, in one city, the local Coast Guard’s commanding officer and his family gifts baby blankets to all of the new arrivals of the service men and women welcoming a new baby into their family. This is a great idea to show company support for the employees and their families.

General state and city spirit is also a great way to add infant and toddler apparel to your t-shirt business’ line of clothing.  Especially if you have a store front in a major city you can create fun designs for baby items. For example, the below infant onesie shows a Made in Ohio design that we created using the Easy View® online designer with simple text and clip art. Any of the state silhouettes are available to use to create these designs or use Easy Prints layouts and create your own design.
