All About Printing Cinch Sacks

Cinch Sacks are a type of bag that closes with a drawstring. Printing Cinch sacks are practical because they are functional, lightweight and inexpensive. They are a great bag to offer as an accessory for spirit sales for students and teams. Custom printed cinch sacks are great when heading to the gym, attending an event or simply out for an outing. They are functional and fashionable.

Good, Better and Best Cinch Sacks

Like most apparel you can offer your customer a variety of different types of cinch sacks. Wholesale pricing ranges from $2-$20. Before we get to printing cinch sacks, we need to make a choice on what style to carry.

Low cost, good choices are the Port Authority Ultra Core (BG615), Port Authority Pocket (BG611) and the Port Authority Core Cotton (BG6200 Cinch Sacks. The Ultra Core and Pocket are denier polyester with the differentiator the front pocket on the pocket style and of course, the Core Cotton is 100% cotton, The Ultra Core is the smallest of the three at 16.5 x 14.5 but this one comes in 13 colors so may be the best choice for a school or team with a more unusual color. Of course, black is a choice in all styles.

The mid-range bags or better are the Port Authority Fast Break (BG613), Port Authority with Mesh Trim (BG810) and Sport-Tek Rival (BST600). All three of these are polyester. The Sport-Tek bag does have a diamond texture. The Fast Break is 16×13, one of the smallest bags, and the print area is limited due to decorated panels. The Mesh Trim bag is 18 x14.5 and the Sport-Tek bag is 17.5 x 13.75.

The Best three bags are not offered through Transfer Express but can be bought through SanMar. These include the Nike Brasilia (NkDM3978), the Ogio Boundary (92000) and the Ogio Pulse. All three of these are polyester bags. The Pulse is a double ripstop if a stronger bag is needed.

Printing Cinch Sacks

All our cinch sacks can be printed using a heat press and custom transfers. The cotton bag can be printed with any of our transfers. We applied Goof Proof.

The rest of the bags are polyester and we recommend using one of our low temperature application transfers. This includes the digital transfers UlltraColor Max, UltraColor Pro and UltraColor Stretch. You can also use the low temp screen printed transfer, Elasti Prints including the Champ Pro numbers and Express Names.

In the good line of cinch sacks, you will print on the pocket on BG611 limiting your print size to about 4” tall. The other two bags in this category can handle a full size 11×11 print, slthough once cinched it may look better to limit the size to 9×9.

The Nike bag has the preprinted swish limiting your custom printing space. When printing this bag cover the swish with a cover sheet.
