This piece of equipment is important to the success of your finished decorated apparel using heat transfer materials. You want to be able to know you applied heat transfers using the best heat press you can afford which is why making sure you are using the most appropriate style and features is important. There are 3 main questions to focus on when deciding on which heat press is right for you.
1) What do you plan on decorating? Will you be decorating t-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, bags, caps, uniforms, etc?
Most items can be decorated on a flat shirt press while other items, like caps, need to be applied on a curved cap press. Knowing what you plan on decorating will help determine the appropriate type of heat press. Optional platens are available that can turn a Hotronix® shirt press into a press that applies onto shoes or can coolers.
2) How often do you plan on using your heat press? Do you sell custom shirts as a side business or are you a large operation printing hundreds of shirts?
Heat presses come in a variety of styles from a manual clamshell press that is perfect for beginners and dabblers to more automatic style heat press like the Hotronix® Duel Air Fusion for a higher volume of work.
3) How much space do you have?
Whether you’re working out of your garage or a large warehouse, a heat press can be added to your business without sacrificing valuable work space. All you need is at least 3′ of counter space for a successful heat printing operation. Even if you don’t have a counter, a Heat Press Floor Caddie and Cad can be added for work station that can be wheeled wherever you can find space!
