Choosing Your Heat Transfer Numbers Sizes
Most uniforms use a 6” number for youth sizes and an 8” number for adult sizes. If you have both youth and adult sizes on the same roster, use the size that most would need for all. There also can be variance for size by sport. Here is a helpful number size chart.
How to Order Heat Transfer Numbers
The easiest and simplest way to order heat transfer numbers is using screen-printed transfers. We carry two different types, Champ Heat Transfer numbers for application to cotton and poly/cotton blends and Champ Pro Heat Transfer numbers for use on 100% polyester.
Screen printed heat transfer numbers are sold in packs of 5, in a team kit Express Pack, or in a league kit that comes with a storage box. Our number calculator will help you choose the best way to order.
To start your order, select the number style, number height, available in 4,6,8 or 10 inch and number color.
If you need a color not carried or perhaps would like to add a pattern or logo to each number, order our DTF transfer, UltraColor Max using the TeamBuilder tool in Easy View, your free online designer.
Select the Team Builder tool from the left toolbar. You can choose one of the preloaded layouts or upload your own art.
Choose your color, patterns and size. Here I’m choosing a color not offered in the screen-printed number line, yellow and adding a distress pattern. As shown, these will be going on red uniforms. Now that we have the look, we want for the team we will add the numbers for the rest of the team.
Select add players and list your names and numbers, or numbers only in the area note< type in using, between player numbers, or upload a roster The team player review will show your team numbers.
Applying your Heat Transfer Numbers
When your numbers arrive, they are ready to be applied to your team uniforms.
The screen-printed transfers are precut by the digit and double digit application is a “perfect pairing” All you need to do is to touch the paper edges and your numbers are perfectly aligned
With UltraColor Max numbers you will have to eye it up through the clear carrier.
Do You Need Smaller Numbers?
If the standard size numbers are too large for your project, for example maybe you are putting a number on a sleeve or inside a clip are, there are alternative ways to order these small, heat transfer numbers.
For a scree printed transfer order using Express Names, entering the digits instead of letters and choosing the letter height. Just stop typing on a line before you see the “squished” messaging, so the digits don’t get condensed.
For UltraColor Max you can either use Team Builder or set up a gang sheet.
