Saturday Delivery Options

If you are in the custom apparel business, everyone wants their order yesterday.

Our fast turnaround can certainly help—one color Easy Prints in standard screen printing ships the next day when ordered by 3 pm.

But your customer’s procrastination can still push you into a corner and a Saturday delivery option will be necessitated.

Carrier Choice

When you order from Transfer Express, we ship exclusively via UPS. However, if you want to still use FedEx, you can use your own shipping account number to do so.

Both carriers only deliver working days, Monday thru Friday. But you can still get Saturday delivery for a premium fee from either carrier in most areas.

Both UPS and FedEx only extend the Saturday delivery option as an add on to Next Day Air packages. Because of this, there is not a delivery option for a package shipping Thursday. The Saturday Delivery option can only be added to orders shipping Friday.

The Saturday delivery option adds $10 to the cost of your Next Day Air shipment. Guaranteed delivery time can be up to 1:30 pm depending on your delivery area.

The Saturday delivery option is not available in all areas.  Rural areas are excluded. Check with the carrier before requesting the service.

New Services to Come

There is good news for all of you weekend warriors, UPS is testing a Saturday delivery option. The UPS website states, “UPS Ground on Saturday is rolling out to more than 4,600 cities and towns across the United States.  This means eligible packages that were previously delivered on Monday will arrive two days earlier, on Saturday.” We will look to add this service when available.

FedEx offers a Saturday Home ground option. Shippers using this option choose to have Saturday delivery rather than Monday—not a viable option for our customer base.

Thanks! It’s not always practical, but it’s good to know it’s an option in a pinch.

Exactly. Not an option anyone wants to be in a position to have to take, but good to know it’s there. Have a great week!
