Say Goodbye to Scorching

If you’re a garment decorator who produces a lot of polyester apparel, you’re probably already using our Stretch Litho™ screen printed transfer and materials like PremiumPlus™ and Glitter Flake™ from our sister company, Stahls’. But even with these materials built for heat-sensitive material, scorching can still be an issue. That’s where the Hotronix® Heated Lower Platen comes in.

Traditionally, heat is only applied through the upper platen of a heat press, meaning it must be set to a higher temperature to achieve the heat component of the time/pressure/temperature recipe. Because the Heated Lower Platen generates heat, these temperatures can be lowered as to not produce scorching on the material.

The Heated Lower Platen is compatible with the 16’ X 20” Hotronix® Auto Clam, MAXX® Clam and the Air FUSION presses. Please note that this platen is not compatible with the Hotronix FUSION or draw presses. If your press was made before 2014, please give us a call.

The Heated Lower Platen also affords you the flexibility of being able to thread your garment when used with a Heat Press Caddie – which can increase your productivity substantially. In fact, in our test case, for a 500 piece order, over six hours are saved! In addition to the gains seen by using the Quick Slip Pad Protector and Heat Press Caddie, additional seconds are shaved off of your production time due by eliminating the need to pre-heat the garment.

Compatible materials are:

Transfer Express® Stretch Litho™ screen printed transfers

Premium Plus™
Thermo-FILM®
Fashion-FILM®
Glitter Flake™
SuperTEK

If your business focuses on heat-sensitive fabrics, it’s time to say goodbye to scorching with the Hotronix® Heated Lower Platen!
