Fishing for Full Color T-Shirt Designs
New fish clip art printed with Stretch Litho Matte full color heat transfers
Each week our graphic designers are creating new clip art and layouts for you to customize in the Easy View Online Designer at Transfer Express and this week, we’re fishing for new full color artwork!
While our specialty is screen printing spot color artwork for our most popular heat transfers, we can also print hi-definition, full color artwork using one of our digitally printed heat transfers. So this week, we’ve added new, full color artwork created by the one and only Great Dane Graphics!
We have the pleasure of working with Dane from Great Dane Graphics over the years as fellow Stahls’ company and are thrilled to offer more of their amazing full-color artwork to Transfer Express customers through Easy View. Now you can use these beautifully detailed designs in our Easy Prints layouts in Easy View and customize a design to decorate apparel for fishing events, tournaments, bait shops, fishing charters and more!
Easy View layout QMS-149 in a one color design
Choose from any one of our pre-made Easy Prints layouts to create your unique t-shirt design. We used this popular fishing layout, QMS-149(shown above) and added one of our new Pike fish clip art, W2F-2. See how we customized this layout in the video below.
As you can see in the video above, we were able to customize a design layout of our choice, with any clip art, like the new Pike fish clip art. This is our finished design below!
Customize the layout with new full color clip art
In addition to the Pike clip art, we’ve added a jumping Blue Marlin and a Redfish clip art from Great Dane Graphics. You can find these clip art by searching for W2F-2 and W2F-4 in Easy View Clip Art and use them in a different design, or even add them to the same transfer gang sheet if using Stretch Litho Matte!

How to Heat Print New Full Color Clip Art Using Stretch Litho™ Matte
To use your heat press to decorate apparel using full color artwork like these colorful fish, choose one of our Digital Transfers like we did with this design. We chose Stretch Litho Matte to apply to a cotton/polyester, lightweight hooded shirt from Transfer Express Apparel. With a low temperature application at 275 degrees F, Stretch Litho Matte gives you the ability to print on temperature sensitive fabrics along with your popular apparel items like t-shirts and sweatshirts.
In the video below, we pre-pressed the fabric for a couple seconds with our Hotronix® heat press before laying down our transfer sheet. Following the instructions, we covered the transfer sheet with a cover sheet to prevent the paper lifting before it’s cooled. The application instructions for Stretch Litho Matte states to press for 11-15 seconds with a medium to firm pressure. Once done, we removed the cover sheet and the shirt from the heat press and set aside to cool.
Once the Stretch Litho Matte transfer is cool to the touch, peel the carrier away in a smooth motion to reveal your full color print!
As you can see, the new full color fishing clip art used with the Stretch Litho Matte heat transfers will create a beautiful print quickly and easily! Not only is the print soft and vibrant, it’s also durable and will last the life of the garment (50+washes).
